Service was terrible. They brought out one person's food at a time for our family. My entire family had eaten and their leftovers were getting cold (35+ minutes later) and my food still hadn't come out. I asked for our ticket and they brought us a ticket with my food removed. Then the cook brought my food out with a to go box and asked if I would take it since they would just have to throw it away. I agreed, but then the waitress promptly returned with a new ticket, with my food on it, AT FULL PRICE! the food we did get was so salty you could barely eat it. This used to be one of our favorites but it's gone seriously downhill over the past 2 years. I doubt we will eat there again.
Their lunch specials are so cheap and delicious. The fried rice in the lunch special is abundant which is suprised me.
Lunch was delicious. I like their hot tea.
Family owned and operated. Good food. Good price and portions. Fried Cheese Wontons are a must.
Super good food, good prices, and good service;) I definitely recommend this place. Been going there for over 10 years!
I always enjoy the food here and service is excellent.
Love this place! Lunch and dinner specials are great. Friendly staff and large portions of food. Highly recommend!
Great food. Great service 👍
We each had the dinner special and there was enough great tasting food for two meals. Service was prompt and efficient. Would recommend!
The customer service was great and you get a lot of food i just didn't get what i ordered and They were closed by the tune i got home and seen i got the wrong food
They need to fix up their establishment
Amazing food! Best food I've had since coming to Cortez.
Love the combo fried rice!
The restaurant was cold and dated. Food and service are fair at best.
It was trash go to Hunan's
Pretty unpleasant. They need to change the oil in which they fried the orange chicken. It had a brunt smoky taste, not in a bacon way. The scallops were a little fishy. The rice was good. The buiding is from the 1800s and it looks like it was from the 1600s. Nice tape on all the chairs to hold in the foam. The waitress-daughter-cousin-niece of the chef-owner-grandfather was nice.
Didn't enjoy it at all, food came out to quick. Chicken was cold from the inside. Combination was like gravy due to meats being frozen. We will not be returning.
Good food at reasonable prices
I usually order lunch special... love their szechuan chicken. Right kind of spicy!!
The food was ok. If doing take out be sure to ONLY order by the numbers. I asked for fried rice with my meal and was given, and charged for, a 2 pound box of fried rice, which was much better than the general Joe's chicken. Keep it simple. And 10 minutes means 25 if you are picking up to go.
Very good pure Chinese menu. No buffet. Lunch special menu at lower prices than dinner. Food is always good, but flavors of some dishes change from visit to visit either because of different cooks or availability of ingredients. My personal favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken. Egg rolls could be better. More convenient to me if they would open earlier for lunch.
Good food, clean place and the employees were nice.
Food was great but the service sucks!
Food was good and plentiful. Service was great!
Great food, and prices. Very fast!
Best hands down ! The portions are huge, and the taste is delicious, everything is hot and fresh!
I would give it no stars because when I got my food they had a few things wrong with it one it was very dry until I fell multiple pieces of hair in my orange chicken if this was able to give me an option of 0 Stars that's exactly what I will be doing I am very dissatisfied on when I called it seemed like that they didn't want to do anything about it so I told them that I will never eat there again I will find myself a new Chinese food place to eat
Always good food at reasonable prices. I had the orange chicken and it was great.
By far the best Chinese food in town. The prices are average and worth it. If you are passing through town and have a craving for some decen t Chinese this is the place. two others in town could learn from this place. They handle their customers great. You get a smile and a thank you and some really nice Chinese food. I live here in Cortez and am posting for you travelers to know what businesses are worth stopping at and what ones are not. This one certainly is. The other two... Not so much
Love this place Food is very good Staff super nice
Food was cold. I went to wash my hands, but there was no hand soap, so I asked the waiter for hand soap several times. He ignored my request, so we left, but the Chinese waitress came out after us to say our food was ready. So we went back in and I was given Dawn (dish soap) to wash my hands. We will not go back ...
Service was great as always. Portions of food was also good. However this particular visit on 8/8/18. The food was way over salted on three of the five meals from my group. Mine was the curry chicken. Maybe a fluke because every time before the food has been fantastic. This review is only based on this trip.
Pretty decent. Portions huge so far. Prices seem very fair. Thanks!
FOOD WAS SO GOOD/DELICIOUS!!! Definently eat here again. Traveling from Arizona, tried 2 places in Cortez both very good.
Not very tasting
It was different, texture and flavor. Not used to that... service was quick and food was hot.
Portions were good. Did take out the only thing good about the meal were egg rolls. Beef had a funky look tasted not quite right even the fried rice was a little odd and taste used to be my favorite restaurant. Just tasted like mildew taste and odor ended up throwing away what a waste of money I probably won't go back there again ever!
Went in an hour before closing. Very fast service. We got our food really fast and they were giant portions! Family of 6 and everyone really liked what they had. I had to spit out a piece of chicken because it was just to grissely. The wontons were great! Seemed somewhat dingy. Seemed like a fairly popular place.
Been stopping here for 10 years or Morecambe good food and lots of it. Good people.
The chicken in the Sweet & Sour Chicken is inedible. It's dry and stringy. All that's left for me to eat is the rice.
Too expensive and got sick the last two times we ate there.
Best place to eat while in Cortez, Colorado!!! It is a family owned restaurant with wonderful service. They are always opened to their customers. The food quality is always served fresh.
The food is great! I really like the chinese donuts, and how the inside is super nice.
Love the good and staff
Hong Kong Restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal , very nice staff and so generous with your food on plate , love it.
Our family got the orange chicken, chicken lo mein, hot and sour and egg drop soup. It was excellent. Portions were huge, even the kids plates. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area.
By far the best meal have ever had. I would recommend ordering the donuts, chow mein and egg drop soup. Food is always made to order.
Family owned business
One of the best Chinese place to eat in Cortez... They have the best pan fried noodles...
Very good Chinese food with generous servings
